Bold red varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Tempranillo are all the rage among winos. The smooth, rich flavor of these big bold reds is appealing. And while these are not common in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, we have several wineries bringing the rarety to the tasting room, with some potentially sourcing these wines from a completely different region at times.

The wineries featured in our Big Bold Reds Trail offer more than bold red varietals. Remy has an excellent picnic spot that’s a must-visit, and Stoller is offering some truly tasty food. The trail leads to Tertulia Winery, bringing a wine experience straight from Walla Walla. Then the trail goes to the latest Frances Ford Coppola winery estate for some California Cabernet. Domaine de Broglie also has a scientific yet cinematic tasting room that’s perfect for a relaxed tasting. Not to mention a breathtaking view of Oregon’s coastal mountains.

Stoller brings some of its elevated experiences to the table, bringing heightened sensory components into the mix. You’ll also have the chance to visit the cutest yellow cottage house at Remy Wines to enjoy old world style wine on a quilt.
