Hip Chicks do Wine is hosting a Bacon and Wine Pairing you’ll have to experience for yourself to believe. This event is based on the belief that everything — and they mean EVERYTHING — is better with bacon. At the event, you’ll have the opportunity to try their pairing of a variety of bacon-centric culinary delights with a selection of their wines. You can choose between a red or white flight of wine, and you can purchase admission for $15 in advance or $18 at the door.

Does an interactive murder mystery paired with a seated four-course meal entice you? If it does, you’ll want to go to Willabys Catering to experience their partnership with The Murder Mystery Co. and Youngberg Hill Vineyard. This is going to be a serious mystery with plenty of good food and wine to enjoy. There will be murder and mayhem between courses, and hidden clues you’ll need to keep an eye out for as you attempt to solve the crime. You could win a prize package when all is done as well. Everyone will wear their most righteous ‘80s concert gear as they solve the mystery, including jean jackets, big hair, spandex leggings, ripped jeans, and leg warmers.

The Wine & Chowder Trail is happening on October 11th and 12th on the Oregon Coast. Throughout this event, you’ll have winery destinations and chowder destinations to visit. You’ll sample wines from some of Oregon’s finest wineries and chowders from some of the best spots in the area. On Sunday, you can be the judge and cast your vote for your favorite chowder after sampling dozens of chowders throughout Bay Street. You can get your participation cards for the Chowder Trail at the Visitors Center (290 Hwy 1010) and in Old Town at Gazebo Park for $5 apiece. The Wine Trail glasses and tasting tickets will be sold in Old Town at Gazebo Park on Saturday for $5 per glass and $1 per ticket.

Wine & Dine is a farm to table dinner experience happing at Abbey Road Farm. This event happens on the third Wednesday of every month. Every month has a different local Chef pairing foods with a local winemaker to offer something unique. This month is Chef Ryley Eckersley of Quaintrelle, a restaurant that prepares Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisines made with local ingredients. The featured winemaker is Holden Wine Company, a winemaker focusing on simple wines for food and people. This three-course chef’s dinner paired with Holden Wine Company’s wines is sure to impress.
